I love to show my apprecation with things that are cute and usable to them both at home or class. I started making flower pen vases and EVERYONE that I have given one to loves them. you get a bunch of silk flowers (i usually go to dollar tree for all my supplies except the pens) Roses work good for these. you'll need a pair of wire cutters a roll of floral tape and however many pens you plan to give. I usually do 1/2 a dozen in a short wide vase filled with stones or glass pebbles. simply cut the stems of te flowers so that they come about an inch (to leave room for the cap) above the point of the pen. hold the stem against te pen and wrap it tightly with the floral tape to cover one end to the other. do not wrap it to thick towards the point or the cap won't go back on. When the pens are done I arrange them in the vase and tie a cute ribbon or twine to match the flowers with a handmade note of thanks around the vase.
