Hubby & I were just sitting back and reflecting on life.
It seemed like not long ago when we decided to move in together and get our own apartment. We were barely making ends meet to try to pay for our rent & bills, save for a house and save for our wedding. Our parents really helped us out in the wedding department and then our generous family & friends helped out with the house part through our wedding gifts.
Once we bought our home, we were still struggling to get our mortgage paid, bills paid and credit cards paid. We didn't know if we'd every get ahead. When we decided to have children, we pretended I didn't have an income to get used to it because we both wanted me to stay home with the kids. Things were hard but sacrifices were made.
Then we really threw caution to the wind and started our own company. Talk about being scared! But that has paid off. I'm so proud of hubby with all his hard work to make his company as successful as it is. It's getting bigger & bigger every year.
We never thought we'd be where we are now.
We are blessed to have a roof over our heads & food on the table. Truly blessed to have such wonderful kids. Blessed to have such a great family. Blessed to have some fantastic friends. So blessed to have each other in this journey.....and to see where it leads us next.

You have A LOT to be thankful for!
I am so happy things are working out so well for you all!
Geez...no wonder Jim gets mad that I don't tell him what a great job he's doing EVERY DAY. He must be reading your blog.
You have so much to be thankful for and that is awesome.
That's wonderful that your hubby has his own successful biz! This post caught my eye as my husband is just about to start his own biz as well- things are a little scary now, but we both have very high hopes that we will be doing much better soon. BTW- we also have a 7 year old and almost 5 yr old, just celebrated our 10 year anniv and have been together almost 20 years.....and we love letterboxing :0) I've enjoyed reading your posts over the last few months.
Regards, Carrie
